Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Kami Companion with other extensions like Read&Write?
Yes, but some features may conflict when multiple extensions are active. If you run into any issues, try temporarily turning off other extensions to see if that resolves the problem. We’re actively working on improving compatibility and reducing extension interference.
I can't see the feature permissions dashboard
Only license administrators have access to this dashboard. If your school or district has a paid Kami license, you will need to ask your administrator to turn on Kami Companion for you. Users with a paid license should have access to the dashboard. Please contact us at support@kamiapp.com if you have any issues with it.
I can't see the Show Companion button
Your Kami extension may be on an older version of Kami and needs to be updated to a version that supports Kami Companion. Please follow the instructions here (https://beta.kamihq.com/doc/update-kami-companion) to get the latest version of Kami Companion.
How do I report a bug?
Reach out to support@kamiapp.com if you encounter any technical issues.
How do I give feedback?
You can share your thoughts directly within Kami Companion by clicking the “Give feedback” button inside the tool or using the feedback form: https://forms.gle/CFgHDPLvBMiScrDS7. Alternatively, you can email us at product@kamiapp.com to share your experiences. The Kami product team may also organize feedback sessions where you can share your feedback directly with us.
Can I use Kami Companion within a secure browser, lockdown browser or kiosk mode?
We are working on supporting common services, but we cannot guarantee compatibility at this time. Please check back later or contact support@kamiapp.com for more information.
