The Dictionary tool in Companion helps students and educators quickly understand unfamiliar words while staying focused on their learning task. Built directly into the webpage experience, it provides clear definitions, audio support, and flexible language options without requiring users to navigate away from their work.
How to use the Dictionary

Click the Dictionary button in the Kami Companion toolbar.
With Word Select enabled, highlight a word on the page to open the Dictionary modal.
Use the play button to hear the word or its definitions read aloud.
Use the language selector in the modal to switch between US English, UK English, or Español Spanish. Audio will match the selected language.
Other Dictionary options

From this modal, you can:
Adjust the playback speed (between 0.1x and 2.0x)
Switch to the Picture Dictionary tool
Share feedback directly with the Kami team
